Stayed over night to split up our trip. Most spaces are pull through so. Cable doesn't wok but all else is ok. Train track close by, little noisy at night.

Seems like a converted KOA. Stayed here while visiting Birmingham. Very Nice facilities including pool and bathroom/showers. Very Nice management people as well. Store hours are little short though.

This appears to be a converted KOA (A-frame office shape) but it looks to be in fairly decent shape. We are in Site #3 and the 30 Amp power works asdoes the water spigot. The waste connection is unthreaded PVC so you may need a donut to hold things in place. Our pad is paved and pretty level and there are shade trees all around; not everywhere but enough to help shade things. We paid $40 with a Good Sam discount and we are here in our 25 ft. Sprinter motorhome (no toad).

Stopped for one nite raining just before rush hour. Very friendly and helpful. Clean park seems to be a lot of long staying campers. Would stay again. Good Sam discount rate $40.

We stayed there about 25 years ago when it was a KOA. we had a racoon incident at the oak mountain state park and a big storm came through and knock the power out at the state park so we moved and found this park. It is still nice but a little pricey for my taste. Otherwise than that every thing went fine.

We made reservations in advance for a two weeks plus two days stay so we could visit with our daughter and family. We requested a satellite site. On arrival I found that we could not have satellite site due to we were staying too long. Those sites are saved for short term campers. I explained I had requested a site with reservations. For two weeks plus two days I paid $604.42 with Good Sam discount! When I gave my credit card to the staff member I was asked do you want to pay for all at once or do you want to pay weekly in case you want to leave early due to No refunds after one hour after check in. Our family had many activities scheduled for soccer games with the kids and other activities. I paid total amount due again requesting clarification of policy for not allowing us a satellite site. We could see many open sites available on check in...this attitude made us think we were not welcome. My husband then spoke with a woman at the assigned site that we had met many times and we thought maybe managed the campground. She also stressed that the campground had been so full this season and the office staff handled all the check in questions. We explained our reservations included a satellite site but we're not given one due to our length of stay... she could not justify or explain. We have always stopped at Birmingham South when in the area but now we are not recommending due to our treatment. As senior citizens traveling in many states this year and visiting different campgrounds ranging from full resorts to state parks, we have never been penalized for staying too long! Most businesses gladly bend over backwards to extend customers good customer service so the customer will return and spend their money.

We read some reviews on other apps and they seemed all over the board depending on how the person writing felt their mood dictated. I guess this is a former KOA, whatever that means? We traveled in a motor home (40 ft) with another couple in a (33 ft) motor home and we both felt it was more than adequate for an overnight stay. Although the other reviews all seem to mention the bathrooms being outdated, guess what, they are but they are extremely clean and serve the purpose. The showers are individual stalls with doors that lock for your privacy, and guess what, they're clean too with plenty of pressure and hot water. Some sites are not the most level we've seen but planning ahead will certainly be in you favor. The lady at the counter got us both on adequate sites for the night so we managed to level out just fine. I suppose everybody has their own ideas of what make a campground ideal but give true reviews so people coming thru have accurate information to base their decisions from. We almost didn't stop here because of them and it would have truly been a mistake. Maybe at $41/night it might be a tad high but know you will have a clean bathroom/shower and a store stocked with many camping amenities if you choose to stop in. I hope others feel this review to be helpful!

This a great old KOA that's is pretty good shape! Several low lying tree limbs, but beautiful big old trees! Nice little fenced & picked up dog park. NO LOOSE DOGS WONDERING AROUND, from an older review! Antenna is the best TV . Satellite would be good if your in a bare area, which there are some sites. They have cable but was fuzzy. Looks like a good heated pool, nice horse shoe & gathering/party area. Nice cabins & tent area. We stayed 1 night in our 40ft Class A Newmar Diesel Motorhome. Definitely adding to my favorites list. And the Nino's Italian food delivery was really good pasta!

I rated 3 stars only because the older lady in the office is very rude. Their laundry facility is nice & clean, but was very hot with the heat on & dryers going, so I left while my laundry was in the washing machine. There are signs saying to stay with your clothes, but the heat was making me sick. I went back to my camper & stayed maybe an hour while they were washing when I came back my clothes were gone. I reported this to the office & this is were I encountered the rude lady. She told me there were signs that said I had to stay with my laundry & I apologized but she kept on & on about it. I understand I made a mistake but she did not have to be so rude. She defiantly needs to learn customer service because there are others that have left reviews about this same lady. The campground itself is clean & the lots are mostly pull thru. The cable does work, but some channels are fuzzy. Also, the traffic & trains tend to be very loud during the night.

Arrived at noon. Office was closed . Had extra vehicle with us ...after being there 20 min's, while trying to unload... they came by our site and very rudely told us the extra vehicle had to be moved to the parking lot. They came by our site every 5 min or so continuously until vehicle was moved. Stayed 1 night. At 8 am, while loading up, extra vehicle at site to load things, vehicle was ticketed for a parking violation. Was parked at site maybe 30 min while loading. Staff, extremely rude, inconsiderate, downright hateful!!!
