Very, very nice
By user-5734207... on 2017-10-23.
We only had the need for one night but had wished I could stay more. Owners are extremely nice, nice looking pool, pool table, lots of shady spots, hookups placement good, and the place is well taken care of. No train noise til 8am. Easy on/off highway & easy in/out of park. Big rig friendly!!

Wonderfully shady, quiet camoground
By user-5858017... on 2017-10-23.
Galesburg, Illinois. Campground called Galesburg East but technically is in Knoxville, Illinois just outside of Galesburg. A recycled KOA....wonderfully quiet, shady campground set in among cornfields....easy in and out with wide, level, gravel spaces, fire rings and tables...bathrooms acceptable water pressure a bit weak...wifi good.....wonderful host. All sites pull through and FHU. Good Sams discount. We camped in a fifth-wheel and would come back.

Friendly owners

We have stayed there a few time and have always had a great experience. Quiet, clean, kid friendly, nice pool, spacious campsites, big rig, 5th wheel, travel trailer, and tent friendly. Pets are welcomed. Very inexpensive and easy access to interstate 74, close to Knoxville.

Plenty of Shade

We really liked this RV park. The owner/manager is friendly and keeps the place clean. The pool was very inviting. The Internet (although not the fastest speed) worked well and dog walking included several short trails through the woods, as well as field space.
In the nearby town of Knoxville, be sure to stop at the local mercantile store for an ice cream cone. Also, check out the corner gas station (just down the block) that is being restored.
After Good Sam discount: $30.60. We stayed in a 25' motorhome and will return if we're in the area.

Easy to get to from the interstate, but you really don't hear any interstate noise. Very clean. Gravel pads but pretty level and shaded. Super friendly.

We stayed overnight in a 40' MH w/toad. We were able to back into a 50 w/water site very easily. They are in the process of making these sites full hookup pull through a for big rigs. The gravel street and sewer lines were being laid out for this section as we were leaving. The park is very well maintained. Nice shade trees throughout, gravel with grassy areas in-between spacious sites. Friendly staff.

Although not officially open yet, they gave me a spot for the night. Very nice folks, good looking camp grounds, full hook ups, great price.

Great Value with Pride of Ownership

This park is a short drive off the 74. The owners are hands-on the daily operation and are making numerous improvements. While we were there, the front office was being painted, with new gravel recently placed on all sites and interior roads, the EWS stations were new and well placed, the trees were recently trimmed making the sites easily accessible. Our site was easily 60 long. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed Saturday and Sunday night. We were very impressed with this little campground. The grounds, pool and bathhouse are well maintained and clean. Nice shade trees and open grassy areas. Small catch and release pond with beautiful walking trails in the woods back behind the pond. Sites are a little on the small side but nice level gravel parking pads. All sites appeared to be pull through with 30& 50 amp available. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Small store in case you forgot something. Pool was small but clean. They could use a coupe of umbrellas for shade on the pool deck as it was really hot the weekend we were there. Overall great little campground. Will definitely be going back in the future!

Arrived late in the afternoon. The owner was the nicest! Recommended a restaurant with delivery service which was great. Got us checked in quickly then led us to our site. Pretty lake on the property and a very large open grassy area to walk to dog.
