| Very nice campground,but...

We brought our fiver to Goshen to have our front jacks worked on @ Lippert. We found the Fairgrounds on RvParky and it was perfectly located only 10 minutes from the shop. The Rv section is separated into different sections with 30 amp, 50 amp, dry camping, sewer etc. The office was very friendly, allowed us to pick what type of site, and which particular site we wanted. We especially liked the lack of many trees that gave us good sat reception. The one thing that you need to know is that there are two sets or train tracks bordering the south side of the Fairgrounds. Since we haven't lived near tracks for years, it took a little getting used to, but we did.

| Very nice!

Very nice campground! Gave 4 stars because sites aren't paved. Only a few shaded spots, but sites are big. They have basketball goals, shuffle board, picnic areas. The bath houses are emaculate, but a distance from the camp sites. We just drove to them and it wasn't a problem. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely come back and stay more than one night.

| It's a place to stay

We moved to the campground at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds in Goshen after work on the rig in Elkhart. We wanted to spend some more time exploring the area (beautiful farmland and Amish country with great bike trails). Other campgrounds in the area didn't have availability due to things like rallies and flea markets. Our first week here was spent in the nicest RV area on the northwest end (there are three or four distinct RV areas on the fairgrounds). These are nice, level RV sites and the price is $5 - $10 less than commercial parks in the area. The main detractor - and reason for just three stars (my wife wanted me to give it two stars) - is the proximity to an extremely busy two-track rail line. A recent count by train buffs showed 85 trains in a 24-hour period during all hours of the day and night. This makes it an extremely noisy place to stay. We had to move to another area at the end of a week because the entire first area was reserved for a Montana fifth wheel rally. The second area - dubbed "Harley Hill" is not nearly as nice as the first. The sites are so small that we had to park the truck across the lane and, when our next-door neighbor moved in, we had to retract the awning so he could back into his site. As the title indicates, it's a place to stay, but be prepared for these few but significant issues.
