Great place for a stopover
By user-5823540... on 2017-10-23.
Although the sites are pretty much bare bones, the area is quite scenic which makes for a pleasant stay. We are returning for a stopover for the second year in a row. I would recommend this campground since it is conveniently located and the use of the hotel facilities is a bonus!

Over priced
By user-5855104... on 2017-10-23.
The most I've ever paid at a campground. It's located up the steepest hill you want to climb ? Which was ok, But then $50 for a untreed, wet , unlevel gravel site , down a very steep hill, with the docks of an industrial building for a backyard. Look elsewhere, I wish I had.

Excellent overnight or weekend KOA

Easy to find just off I-79. Days Inn Road looks like the entrance to a car dealership but go up the hill. Register quickly in the Days Inn Lobby with very friendly staff. Nice level sites; gravel and cement slab with built in charcoal grill, fire ring and picnic table. Our site #37 pull thru with full hook up. Quiet, wooded campground with plenty of trails. Waffle House and Go Mart in walking distance. Very clean shower house.

Very good KOA
By user-5289026... on 2017-10-23.
Great for stopover or for a few days. Paved roads, spotless facilities, picnic tables on concrete pads, and big ice machine providing free ice. Pull throughs relatively level. Registration is in the front lobby of the Days Inn that owns the CG. Would stay here again. No cable but nice fire pits.

Not bad.

Good place to stop but you may want to call ahead for a pull through.

Nice enough

Stonewall Jackson State Park was full, so we came here. Nice facilities, adequate spacing of sites. Convenient to stores but quiet. Several areas - we had easy access to lower area with pull-through which was fine. Enjoyed visit to lunatic asylum in Weston and had great dinner at Lightburn's in Stonewall Resort.

Stopover spot

Nice level pull thru sites, paved. A little bit pricey, but comes with pool and exercise room privileges at the hotel. Not crowded on a July Sunday afternoon.

Too pricey to overnight
By user-5811211... on 2018-07-06.
Passing through on way home looking for a spot to overnight. $45 plus tax is too much considering location. Stay at Walmart or rest area for free if you don't need amenities.

Good spot

We actually stayed in the hotel attached to the property because we were heading back to Ontario Canada and we wanted to winterize trailer. They allowed us to take the trailer in, dump and winterize on a site. This was great and very helpful.
This would be a good spot for an overnight on route somewhere and is open all year round.

Unlevel gravel site (39)
By user-6351234... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-04-11 to 2019-04-12
I had to pull into the road and disconnect before I could get my trailer level -14% grade to pull into the hotel, the amenities of the hotel are available, the wifi from my site is unusable - att works well, full hookups worked well

Unlevel Pull Throughs
By user-5069830... on 2019-08-09.
We arrived and were directed to spot 15. It sloped downwards so severely that there was no way I could level the trailer without disconnecting from the tow vehicle. The next spot over looked good, I called the office and they wouldn t let me move over. They told me to go to spot number 35 and it was almost as bad but I am too tired to deal with it and I don t want to disconnect my truck because the whole point of a pullthru spot is not having to do that. We will not be coming back to this place!

Very confusing to get to the site due to very small sign underneath the big Days Inn sign. Don t use gps it will take you to an entrance that is no longer open. The sign saying to check in at the days inn is not very obvious it s separate from the one that says to check in at the office. Pricey for a camp ground in the middle of West Virginia.
