this place is needing some major repairs. It was let go over many years but the new owner is slowly making the improvements. New electric lines are being installed to accommodate both 30 and 50 amp service. the fishing docks are missing half the boards but will eventually be replaced with concrete. It's going to be very nice once all the work is done but don't expect that to happen for a few years. This place has great potential but it's going to take time. If your only stopping for a few days this location would be ok but keep in mind that it's a work in progress.

Stayed here this summer for a week. Office staff was pretty friendly but not very informative. Some sites are full hook up (very few) but if you leave the caps off they will pump your tanks off for you. Pool is nice and clean but the roads, pads, and sea walls are in bad shape. Oh, and like many places on the obx there is no shade to be had on this camp ground. Nice bath house and laundry facilities. Just north of the ferry terminal to Ocracoke. No cable available here despite being advertised- the folks next to us had been there since the spring and said that there hadn't been any cable since before they got there. Would not stay here again.

Place is under construction so please be aware of this. Kim and her team are extremely helpful. Once they have finished the docks this place is going to be even better.
