Nice spot. But noisy. Bad wixi
By user-5903074... on 2017-10-23.
Convenient location. Fairly clean. Decent access.
Get quite a bit of road noise from US16 though. That calms down by 10pm.
Wifi is very bad though. It is so slow you can't even login to your webmail to read mail. Seems the best time to read your mail is 2-5am. I suspect the park allows unfettered use like video streaming shock kills everyone else's ability to use the internet.
Cell coverage is spotty but if you need reliable access consider your cell data tether.

The sites are fairly level gravel with grass around you. You have a cement patio area that is covered with a picnic tables and all this is shared with your neighbor (hopefully you like your neighbor). I found the Wi-Fi to be very good, easy to connect, stayed connected and fast (most of the time). The staff was very friendly and handed out a lot of information at check-in. There are shade trees but most won’t interfere with satellite reception. There is some road noise, but it quiets down in the evenings. No trains though! The outdoor pool is nice but the hot tub was not working. This is only 20 minutes from Mount Rushmore, 15 minutes from downtown Rapid City and close proximity to many other great attractions. I would stay here again.

Decent Park Near the Attractions
By user-6370128... on 2017-10-23.
Stayed here 4 nights. Offered off-season rate. Some work going on apparently for water lines in part of park. Though sites spacing is okay, can see some big rigs might have harder time getting in/out in some parts of park as sites across the row are close. For us wifi worked more-miss-than-hit, sometimes good, other times connects but no internet. Restroom on dated side but clean, though smaller/narrower stalls & showers. Just 20 miles to Mt. Rushmore and close to many attractions, so obviously that means some traffic noise. Not far to downtown Rapid City. So overall it's a trade-off. Not a newer modern park. But decent, clean and close to things. Friendly staff.

Resort Not
By user-5910817... on 2017-10-23.
Traveling in a 40 foot motor home and had reservations starting on 24 June, Friday staying 3 nights. Arrived about 3 pm. Connected to the 50 am service only to pop the 200 am breaker. Staff said to wait 30 minutes and try again. Did that and pop breaker again. Now 5 or 6 other campers are getting upset with the power interruptions. Went to office and asked to be move, was told they had no more open sites although I saw numerous empty sites. Tried to connect once more but had results. We told office staff we were leaving and we would like our refund. Was told the manager, would have to do that. Six days later we had to go back and confront him as we still do not have the refund. He first told us he transacted it on Monday, Jun 27. Told him I wanted proof. He then gives me a receipt dated 29 June. He lied to us, totally unacceptable. Will never stay there again.

If you need or want wifi, don't bother staying here. Wifi has gone from bad to worse. Definitely regret we moved to this park

Older park .gravel and grass , very tight for bigger rigs. Trailer barely fit in end to end. Had to park truck in the next rv spot. Thats if you can make the turn into spot. Wifi only near office cable was fuzzy. Reasonable priced , friendly staff. Convenient to Rushmore and Rapid city.

Large park. Pool, playground, small store. A little pricey. Lots of mature trees, plenty of shade. But if you're a big rig you'll have trouble getting in and out if the park is crowded. The trees and other rigs get in the way. Dogs are welcome but there is no dog park. It might be nice in an off season.

Great Place!

Very Pleased with this RV Campground. Helpful hosts guided us to our site and helped center and level. Nice amenities, clean restrooms. Close to all attractions. Full hook ups with 50 Amp. Internet a little weak at times, but we got by with it. Seemed pricey until we got set up and toured the area and found that this is a tourist hot spot! Best call in advance to insure you get a spot. We would definitely stay here again.

Hook ups worked well. Wi-Fi so-so. We don't need pool, showers or playground so can't speak about them. Spaces right but pull thru. Had shared covered patio and good neighbors so worked well.
