Lovely Park
By user-5806331... on 2017-10-23.
We found this park to be very well maintained with nice level lots and plenty of space between. We were just in for the night but found it to be a lovely park. Great pull through so didn't need to unhitch our tow.

Very well maintained
By user-5511474... on 2017-10-23.
Good size, well maintained load with mature trees. Heated pool was very nice and the staff was very helpful. Could see WiFi, but could not connect (we didn't bother asking staff about it). Road noise was loud, but did not bother us at all sleeping in the camper with a/c on. Great stay for the price.

Well Kept and Friendly
By user-6034311... on 2017-10-23.
This camp ground is very well kept and friendly. We had no trouble sleeping even though the entire park is between Highway 74 and a set of rail road tracks. I didn't see one train during our entire 4 night stay. Pool is very nice and well maintained. Showers and bathrooms are very well maintained and clean.

Very nice! Noisy from interstate
By user-5878199... on 2017-10-23.
Very neat, clean and well run. Pretty noisy from interstate traffic which is right next to it and a railroad. $31 for the night.

Not good
By user-6025182... on 2017-10-23.
The interstate is loud and the bigger trucks actually vibrate the rv ,, I'm talking loud ,, WHAT!, it easily tops 90db inside the rv when the train passes , one about 2:20 am and one at 4:50 am . I hate to complain but I like to sleep a little in every 24 hour period and other campers need to know before they come in here and pay for more than one night!

Great place to spend the night.
By user-5815102... on 2017-10-23.
Found this RV park to be extremely well kept. Park was well laid out and well maintained. Staff was friendly and seem really concerned that we would enjoy our stay. Plan on stopping here again.

An oasis in the middle of chaos
By user-5853632... on 2017-10-23.
We have been traveling for two months and find this is one of the nicest and most well kept places we have stayed.Bathrooms need a little updating. The train sounds reminded me of times past. Loved our stay

Small clean Campgrounds. Perfect for a couple of days. Bath 3.5 star and clean. Gravel level spot with full 50amp hookup. Nice heated pool. No other amenities. Helpful owners. Some shade which is nice. Interstate not to bad. Train did wake me up but not a deterrent.
Good place to stay and reasonable.

Nice stop
By user-5338808... on 2017-10-23.
This is a nice place to stop. Lots of trees and owner is pleasant. The bath/shower is old and tired, but appeared clean. Do not use The GPS on this app as y you will end up in the corn fields. The park is right off 74. Call the owner for directions and you will do fine. We ate at the Family Restaurant in carlock and it was very good.

Visiting family in Bloomington Il. 12 miles away, but that is as close as you can get. A very nice park, but the Big Rig 50 amp. Section is immediately alongside the interstate! Plus, the RR intersects there as well. Otherwise, it's a very nice park.

Decent
By user-5791449... on 2017-10-23.
Park is clean and well kept. I had a pull through site that could've held two of my rigs. (34ft TT). But, the interstate was within spitting distance of my site. And there's a train nearby, but it didn't run all night. They also charged extra for two of my kids because "Our sites are only set up for two adults and two children". I happen to have four kids. How their water and electric hookups are only "set up" for four people is beyond me. If you wanna charge more, just put it out there and charge more up front. I was quoted $30 when I called, ended up paying $36.60. (And that was after a discount!) Nice place, but probably won't go back.

Going home stop
By user-4575984... on 2019-08-09.
This is our go-to last stop before getting home to Ohio from the west. Been there several times and will again. It was a KOA at one time. The new owners run it much like most KOAs. Friendly, clean, priced right.

This campground is a rare find. Even though it is close to the interstate and has the required train tracks it was not bothersome. Well maintained and friendly folks. The town of Carlock is a very small town which has a a wonderful restaurant, Carlock Family Restaurant. Wonderful home cooked meals, reasonably priced. Even if you don t stop for the night check out this restaurant.

Noisy!

Clean but the freeway noise is horrific! The bigger trucks going by on the freeway (a couple hundred yards away) actually shake the ground. Railroad tracks out front, no trains yet.

Overnighted 1 Night Only.
By user-5356369... on 2019-08-09.
Simple but large gravel lots. Lots of gravel in lot, not sparse or just for show. Easy to navigate a 50 amp 37ft 5r around. Simple access from the highway. 30 amp spots seemed a little closer together and 'tight', but dont dismiss this park on that alone, since I did not use the 30amp sites. Con#1: Close to the highway, and the noise never stops. Bring earplugs. Con#2: If an incoming and outgoing RV met on the access road one of the would have to drive on the grass, because the access road it one lane. So show up (or depart) wisely. Friendly Staff. Less than average bathhouse (under refurb while we were there).

Misleading advertisement
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
The rate is a little misleading. They charge for the use of the showers. Maybe they could indicate that the rate is only $10 a night. When you check in they would mention that if you want an electrical hook-up that would be an additional $10, water $10, sewer $5 etc. It is a good stop-over for one night but we don t like the additional charges which should be included in the rate.

Not Great

Stayed 2019-05-21 to 2019-06-03
Positives are average wifi and well maintained. Negatives are noise, I-74 within 150 yards, train tracks with unguarded crossing same distance, so you won t sit outside or have your windows open. Water was brown the first week then they fixed their well, but srill only 15 to 20psi pressure most the time. They said no one uses pool until about August. We never seen anyone in it so we suspected it is never heated. Even though we needed a month, and the park was half empty the whole time we were there, owners insisted only a few sites are for monthly rates . Therefore the price for a month there was going to be just under $1,200.

Nice campground, friendly staff, wifi adequate. Nearby interstate is noticeable but not a problem. We sat out in our chairs most of the afternoon and evening. Nice trees, very enjoyable stay.
