Very nice state park

We stayed in the Deer Fort Campground area. Sites were long and level and we had plenty of room to put the awning out. Showers in our area were okay and they were free but some of the other areas were pay per use. We had water and electric at our site but there is a dump station just down the road. We were far enough from the road that there was no noise at all. Sites were shady too. Would have liked to stayed longer here but we were on the move.

Typical state park
By user-5852854... on 2017-10-23.
This is a typical state park with the normal amenities. Electric and water at the site with a central located dump station. Nice quiet , clean park . our pad was concrete and fairly level and had a view of the lake. Antenna TV reception was fair , no cable or WiFi. Had picnic table and fire ring. Did not use public restrooms. Roads are a little tight in places , due to trees. But manageable. We stayed only one night as we were just passing through. Will stay here again if back this way. We stayed in a travel trailer , late September 2015

Great Park
By user-5801025... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed in the full-service (modern/Dogwood) section of the park and were very pleased. Easy to access paved pull thru with cement patio, picnic table and fire ring. Decent bathrooms and laundry. Shaded sites! Lovely and very quiet park! There is a marina section in another part of the park with swimming and a nature center with activities for the kids. The section we stayed in does not have access to the water..which really suited us. No wifi or cable...but good radio channels. This park is easy to find, near good local eateries (try I SMELL BACON) and a walmart. The shade and quiet were excellent. Highly recommend this for a piece of quiet nature.

Nice state park
By user-5290081... on 2018-05-17.
We arrived after camp store closed. There were no instructions outside other than register with. CG host. With out a map it was hard to find but eventually we did. Lake side sites were very nice level and concrete. And the price was right - $26 per night w/e.

Quiet, clean park with much to do

Stopped early due rain and fog. Off I-40 about 5 miles. Sites are clean with fire pits, tables, lantern trees and paved pads. The park offers trails and a lake, in good weather. Worth the stop. Price was good for full hookups.

Park typical, but showers dirty

The park itself is nice with plenty of sites with and without hook ups. There are a few pull thru sites in the Deep Fork campground. Several sites with lake view. Lake access is steep and muddy but manageable. Restrooms and showers are very old and need serious cleaning and repair. Tiles missing, dead bugs, filth every where. I do not recommend this campground, unless you have shower in your camper.

Absolutely loved it!

If you can get a spot by the lake, the views are gorgeous and the spots feel very private. I couldn't be happier!

Great park by the lake
By user-6628091... on 2019-08-09.
Really a great park for it's site and the location by yhe lake. Unfortunately the washrooms and showers are a bit dated. This is the reason I only rated it at 4 stars.

Lake Eufaula Needs TLC
By user-5284696... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-06-25 to 2019-06-27
It was hot, and there had been bad flooding in the area, so the lake was closed because of a high bacteria count. The sites were nice although ours was not very level. Plenty of big shade trees. The bath house I inspected was bad. Obviously the shower did not contain the water, so the entire floor was flooded. The children s play area was a disgrace! Swings were missing, and the one swing hanging was only 1/2 attached. There was standing water under the Merry Go Round and other playground features. The camp store closes at 4:30, so we had to dive out of the park at 4:45 to a store to get ice.

Quiet and beautiful

The sites by the lake didn't have sewer but definitely worth the trade off. Dump station was fine. We had the best site and loved it. Lake views were wonderful. I don't know why this place wasn't full. Only 7 minutes off the highway. We just stayed one night but I would give back. There is a marina, frisbee golf and horse stables. I felt very safe.

No one here but my wife and me. On the lake with electric and water. Satellite TV picked up a few stations and came in clear. Bathroom and bathhouse was the worst I've seen ever. Must have flooded. Pay shower ended up not getting one. Beautiful view. Bob(bearcat) from Bristol VA high school.
