Nice Campground

Heading West and called to see if there was an open site. From the phone call to the reception/check-in to the escort to our site we were met with friendliness and "what can we do for you" attitude. We had to disconnect our truck so my DW, who usually does a great job of placing me on our site, was not able to assist in backing in and our help was great! Good site, level, gravel, shady but able to get satellite, good WiFi, no OTA TV but cable available for $2. The campground is busy, with a mix of travel trailers and coaches, medium term and over night. Enjoyed our stay in Medora.

Best campground on my trip west. Terrific store. Ben is awesome at backing in rv. Only heard birds singing in AM, lovely and quiet. Super nice staff. Would have loved to stay and explore the town. Beautiful location.

Friendly park. Walk to town easily. Although very close to RR tracks, train doesn't sound horn. Very good cable, worth the $2 extra fee.

Price was right. Very mis-managed!! Owner and daughter don't know what ßites they have or not. Owners and family were very unfriendly and unclean.would never return.

An OK campground..lots of rules though! Not that we don't like rules, but.. The location is very close to Theo Roosevelt NP, so that is a plus. Showers are not super clean, but passable. Staff is a little iffy.

This rv Park is located in town and a short distance to Roosevelt NP south entrance. Some of the sites are quite tight but our group of 4 had level, roomy sites. We were able to get limited satellite TV.

Arrived at 11:30 am without reservation. Asked if any sites available. Immediate response was, "We don't check anybody in until 12". Ok, does that mean no or should I come back at 12. A note book was used for the campground register so it did take until noon before they figured out if they had any openings. Trees were a little bit of a problem. Electric boxes seemed new, but the rest of the campground was as dated as the register. I don't mind old or even worn bathrooms, but I have seen cleaner public restrooms. Dump station was muddy.

One of the few places around Medora to stay. To bad they do not have a little more competition as maybe they would spend a little time fixing up the place. All hookups worked fine. Packed in like sardines and if it rains it is like sardines packed in standing water. One site they actually brought our wooden pallets so people could get to their door. What a little gravel could do. Very close to TRNP and the Medora Musical as a positive.
Be cautious pulling in as trees are not trimmed to accommodate taller coaches and branches cover the road on turns around office and exits. Our site was fairly level.

We were quoted one price before arriving and told there were no pull through sites. Upon arriving we were offered a pull through site at a much higher rate. Had we not taken the higher rate site we would not be able to open up our RV. Would only return here if we were passing through. Not for an extended stay

The sites are dirt with some grass and fairly level. I found the Wi-Fi to be GREAT, easy to connect, stayed connected and fast most of the time. There was the expected slowdown at night when everyone is on-line. But this good of Wi-Fi is very unusual in RV parks. You’re within walking distance to town. The park needs some maintenance though; pot holes, tired buildings, overall landscaping. The staff at check-in was O.K. They do escort you to your site and assist you in backing in. Ben did a great job with directing me backing my fifth wheel into my site. There are some shade trees but not so much to block satellite reception. They do have cable, but charge $2 per day for it (we opted out).

Great location to tour area but park needs TLC. Lots of holes mud standing water need to bring in gravel and fill right lots cars park in front sideways so can be tough to get out if others are not in tight.
Rudest check in woman in 3 years of traveling. We came in said hi she was on computer asked us to wait TEN minutes later after she talked to her husband paged other staff took two phone calls handed me a card to fill out which I surely could have been doing instead of standing around then when I asked about things to do in area she pointed to a map on side wall and said it is all on there. One other campground in area not sure what it is like but would try there couldn't be worse than here

Don't think about checking in before noon. They won't budge by even five minutes. By then there's a long line to get in. Then you can't self park. It took us 45 minutes to get through the check in process.

Super Tight

We were packed in tighter than sardines! And we are only 24 ft long. I read Theodore Roosevelt NP was so under visited. Maybe not. Medora is busy. There is a little run down convenience store that is quite gourmet inside.
Anyway, the people at the park were very nice and helped my husband park since I was getting the detachable car. I think it s a little expensive for no sewer but the market speaks. The internet was great which is a quite the unicorn. 2 people no pets. Good Sam discount applied.

This place should be used as an example of what a dirty unkept poorly maintained rv park for the Good Sam people. The store had some rotting fruit and was dirty also. Do not understand why it is a good sam park. Stay away.

We have traveled all over the country in our 40' motorhome so we self contained and did not use their parks facilities. We have stayed in some great parks and some real dogs. This park rates in the middle or slightly below average. To begin, it is "off season" so this is the only RV park open in town and no other camping options are available anywhere nearby, thus one cannot be too choosy. I think some of the really bad reviews need to relax and not be so ridiculous. Sites are level, gravel with grass, picnic tables, barbeque and full service (50A, water, sewer). Nothing different than 90% of all RV parks all over the country. Sites are all "back in" but not as tight as some comments. Staff helped us get in, no problems. Yes, they charge an extra $3 for cable but at $39 total I could not complain. Park needs done work but for a one nights stay we are satisfied and think some of the poor reviews are ridiculous. These people need to relax and enjoy the National Park and Medora which is in the middle of nowhere, what do they expect.

Noisy and no internet

This was not by best move since my departure from Montreal, Quebec. In the last 5 days, I ve opted for walmarts and truck stops. I am traveling solo in my teardrop for the first time ever. Truck stops and Walmarts are normally close to highways and so you get that woushhh sound all night. Last night I had a woman trying to get her cats in her car by screaming at them for 6 hours straight so arriving near Medona I was swept by the land and so I said What the heck I ll treat myself to a cozy night in a campground. I needed internet to get my working hours in so this one was perfect. Remember I have a teardrop so the size of a tent. Got charged like a huge RV. My spot was right by the busy street with the street lamppost right above me. Great! Wait..... i ternet does not work for me. Too far from the antenna. Even Greater! Showers and bathrooms are ishhhh barely making the cut.
Truck centers are clean and internet works great for 12$. Ok not in a beautiful green pasture but I did not even get that here. If I come by this place, I will go dock my drop elsewhere!

Better than nothing

We stayed here while visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park. At least in the area we were in there was no way to enjoy anything outside of the trailer because our neighbor was so close. If dealing with brother and sister they are very nice. Mom is another story however. Good part is very close to TR National Park. Not much in way of additional amenities.

Very nice people who run the campground. Nice shade due to big trees. Very nice scenery in a canyon. All the amenities you need. I stay here every year never had an issue. Walking distance to down town Medora. I give it five starts

It is an older family run RV Park. Very nice staff. Clean bathrooms and laundry area. $2 a load for wash and $1 for 45 minutes uses of the dryer. Park gets muddy after rain showers. The park was full of RVs every day we stayed here. People left out that morning and someone new would take the spot a few hours later. So make reservations early. There an extra charge for cable tv. They have free WiFi as well. They take Good Sam club memberships. It quiet and I would stay here again. Plenty of places in and outside the park to walk your dog on a leash. No dog run area.

Clean place. Friendly staff. Very close to South unit of TRNP. Dirt sites with strips of grass that are not manicured or even mowed (when we were there). Some sites are shaded. Good for an overnight. Full hookups. Cable extra. Little gift at registration.

Can t say enough about this park. It is well maintained and well run. We were treated very well and this is a large park. Also it is only minutes from the South unit of the National Park.

Nice older campground. Looks like they are updating picnic tables a few at a time. Ours was new and on a concrete pad our family's wasn't. Quite and laundry worked well. Let us wash the truck there after a very dusty drive to the remote Elkhorn Ranch. TRNP is right there and you could walk into Medora to look around. We enjoyed our visit. If you are used to resort style camping you may not be impressed but we have stayed at all kinds and this was a little gem. They are celebrating 40 years and this place constantly had new rigs coming in. Go and enjoy TRNP close enough to go back to the camper for lunch and a nap before dusk/ evening animal viewing.
