Nice experience

Nice experience! Was easy to get to from I-10. Although the park is small, the RV spaces are plenty spacious and level. Will definitely stay again.

Large pull thrus
By user-5422068... on 2017-10-23.
This site was just what we needed for an overnight stay in Mobile so we could tour the USS Alabama. Oversized pull thrus. I wouldn't call it quite per se as there is a nearby small airport. But it wasn't too bad.

Shady, level, very near Mobile
By user-6163318... on 2017-10-23.
Gracious host who is eager to give brochures and information on touring area. Sites are very shady. Broken concrete pad where table should be. Cable included but Wi-Fi slow and weak.

Nice for an overnight or close access to mobile
By user-5816611... on 2017-10-23.
Large pull throughs, full hookups with wifi and cable for only $27 with good sam. Not a destination park but very nice and clean. Didn't check the restrooms. Be advised though that it is a flight path.

Nice, quiet little campground

This is a nice, quiet little campground. The gravel sites are level and roomy. We only stayed one night. Our pull-through site was long enough for our 36' Class C with our Ford Escape in tow, and there was plenty of room for a larger RV. It only cost $25.20 with our Good Sam Discount. The people are very friendly. The building where the office is located is actually a park model home. The office is the living room. There is a kitchen next to the office. You go down a hallway, and there is a small bedroom which is now used as a library. There are two washers ($1.50) in the hallway and three dryers ($1.50) in another room that was once a bedroom. I also looked in the bathroom. All are very clean. The only problem was the road into the campground. You have to go about half a mile on Old Military Road, which is a very narrow paved road, to get to the campground. The roads in the campground are also narrow. To avoid the difficult turn onto Old Military Road, turn into the driveway just before you reach Checkers. It goes through a large parking lot with an exit onto Old Military Road.

We like Shady Acres
By user-5845130... on 2017-10-23.
I called a few hours before we would be arriving just to make sure we could stay. The guy on the other end of the phone was very pleasant, we were going to be getting there after he closed, so he just told me which lot to pull into and that we would get caught up in the morning. Nice, big lots. We didn't have to unhook our 41' fifth wheel from the tow truck and there was still room to park our other two vans traveling in our caravan. Easy access in and out right off of I10. Would love to stay again and explore some of Mobile.

Nice little park
By user-5226683... on 2017-10-23.
Nothing fancy, but clean facilities. Pull throughs are large and level gravel. Roads paved. Have stayed here several times when in Mobile. It's far enough away from I-10, so there is no road noise and it's close to downtown Mobile. It's really the only park we would stay in if in area. Charlie (owner) is very friendly and helpful. Always have a nice stay here.

We like it
By user-4936806... on 2019-08-09.
Has FHU in good working order- Good Wifi - Cable TV. Owner Charlie - friendly and helpful. Good long pull thru sites. Shaded by old oak trees, crushed stone site. Level.
Easy on off I-10 at Exit 22b. Can hear jets from Brookley Airport and trains but it doesn't bother us.

Surprisingly Nice

I was skeptical at first because this park is in the middle of a neighborhood but wow! Large lots, great cable, cheap, trees are not in the way, peaceful and quiet. Lots aren't as level as I'd like but they are fine. Looks like the park is being worked on but it's no problem at the moment. Owner is super nice and helpful too. Although when I called to make a reservation, he was so laid back that I wasn't sure if he wrote anything down which, again, made me skeptical. There is a train a few miles away but it's not bad noise. You just hear the a faint horn. I didn't use the facilities so cannot speak on the subject. I would definitely stay again and maybe longer. The place is a pleasant surprise!

Big rig friendly. Long enuf for 3500 to stay connected to a 39ft 5th wheel. Lots of shade trees. Very nice and accommodating manager. #25 was pretty level. Can walk to the river. Quiet away from I-10. Can walk <1 mile to Waffle House. Would stay again.

By user-4619336... on 2019-08-09.
Very nice quiet clean, shady place to stop. Full hook ups and cable TV. Good cell reception. Not far from the I10, easy in/out. Charlie is great and the rate is reasonable. We would definitely come back.
