Stayed one night as we were traveling through the area. Wasn't to bad of a place to stay. Not real level of a lot. Office help answered my questions and pointed out places to eat. Reference to the trains they do travel near by but as tired as I was of driving they didn't bother me to much. The lot I had was a pull through. Pool was nice and clean area was clean, grass was mowed.

Good, but short of great
By user-5877781... on 2017-10-23.
We've stayed here twice now mainly because it is close to home. Great location for visiting Six Flags or sites in St. Louis. The outer loop, I-270 is about 15 min away. There are also stores and restaurants in nearby Eureka. Sites are adequately sized and facilities clean. Not all sites are full hookup so read carefully when booking. The interstate (I-44) as a constant hum in the background and freight trains roll by every few hours but fortunately don't blow their horn close by so you just hear the rumble now and then. Staff is very friendly and helpful. When checking in they gave us a list of thing going on, mostly things for kids like a bounce-house, ice cream social and a hay ride. Price is slightly high but maybe that is the trade-off for the good location. They do have customer appreciation weekends that are more reasonably priced. If you get the chance, check out the Route 66 Museum at the Lewis Road Exit about 10 miles east of the KOA - it's free, and has some cool vintage stuff.
Last time we stayed at this KOA we took a few minutes to tour Jellystone across the highway but decided against it; it is more difficult to access with our trailer. If tent camping, that place has a nice hilltop view that the KOA does not have.

WATCH ELECTRICAL
By user-5774267... on 2017-10-23.
Some sites on the "A" row have electrical deficiencies. Our coach's electrical protector noted that we were only getting 107 amps. The protector cuts off electricity to the coach when it dips below 105; therefore, I could not use the espresso maker because using it drew us below 105. I hope they fix this problem soon as this is a nice campground in convenient location near 6 Flags. Some sites are not very level.

A Muddy mess!
By user-5770899... on 2017-10-23.
This was a very poor example of a RV park. We had an advance reservation and was placed on a site of mud. My 5th wheel tires sunk up to the rims. Management was totally unconcerned.

Good locale, great staff

Nice park. Staff tremendous, we had a/c issue breaker kept tripping ( onli in mid 90s) they helped check power coming to rig and rig. Even let us try 50 amp thinking 30 was issue. Nope. Traders rv great people too, very close. Nice pool, good activities daily. Oh and cookies in evening

Great campground, Wonderful Staff

This is a beautiful campground with nice trees and lots of things for the kids to do. Bathrooms are clean and we'll managed and the spaces actually have space! Easy in and out and only 1 Mike from Six Flags if you like. There is some train noise but I can't fault the KOA for that. The staff here is fabulous! Highly recommend if you are in the St. Louis area.

Trains

A scenic KOA with all of the great amenities right off I44 and across the street from Six Flags. The downside to the park is the noise from the roads and the trains that run just across the street all night long. Even with a noise maker, the sound and shaking of our coach woke us up multiple times every night. The sites are gravel with grass between the sites. The grass quickly turns into mud with the rains that are normal in the spring and early summer. The park has a pool, which is open seasonally, playground, inflated jumpy, bike rentals, horse shoe pit and reasonable restroom, showers and laundry. The park had working wifi that only slowed down during peak times. We will definitely stay elsewhere the next time we are in the area because of the trains. .

Stayed here a couple nights - found the staff really nice and accommodating. The lots and grounds are just like the other reviews...although the train noises really were no issue to us. We stayed in the A loop campsites (50 amp FHUs) and the only complaint I would have - down to one shower in the ladies room and the lights were not all working. We d stay here again surely.
