Nice setting and nice place to park our 5th wheel. We arrived early in the morning. Tried calling the owners who live on the premises but no answer or way to leave a message. You pay $30 cash in the drop box. Lovely grass and lake and added bonus was 3 donkeys in field behind us - one of them a foal. Just thought it odd not having to fill in registration papers etc but we were not bothered or questioned Water and electricity at site. Dump at station as you leave

Trying to hook up water and electric...Absolutely eaten alive by tiny flies, big flies etc. They are coming in the vents and are all over the inside of the windshield. Beautiful site on water, friendly donkeys, peaceful except we are stuck inside due repellent immune flies

Love this for overnight stop. Friendly owners, scenic lake, quiet, easy access off 1 26. Elec/water. $25, dump station , basic bathroom.

As other reviewers have said, it is $30 cash with no registration or receipt for a spot in a string of campsites right next to the owners' house. Bathrooms were pretty dirty, the owners' 2 small/medium dogs were running loose, the water smells like well water, and a number of areas were covered with fire ants, including the dump station. Gets a star for pretty lake and trees and fairy level spots.

I get what some of the other reviewers are saying; however, you just have to be adaptable. The owner is laid back. It's a beautiful property that's been in her family for many years. I personally think she could do a lot more with the property, and she doesn't seem to mind which way you park your RV. I think she is just content with what it is though and there's nothing wrong with that. Sunset was gorgeous. The owner didn't even have you sign anything, which I think is a huge liability to her, and you just dropped your check or cash in a box... like I said-- very laid back. I loved her dogs. One was an ankle biter (not really) but the other would wrestle it to keep it away from me and then follow me so I would pet her as a reward. If I ever have a dog, I want one like that sweet one! The price was $30. It's a great overnight not far from the interstate.

To all of the people who said spring water lake campground in st Mathews sc was not up to par or expensive. This is the perfect place to drop off the interstate for a couple of days or a night. Very relaxing. Owners very friendly. Highly recommend if you want to relax and get away from it all.

I waited until I had several campsites to compare, as this is the first place I ever stayed. It does not compare to any $30 place I have stayed. Positives: a lovely lake view, and close to the interstate. But, the bathroom is unusable, far away, and there are no outdoor lights at night. With only water and electric and odd, uneven sites, just not comparable to anywhere else I have stayed in the last 10,000 miles. Visited May, 2018.

This stop has the bare minimum provided you don't need a restroom. Theirs is best avoided. On the positive side the lake is pretty

Stopped for one night passing through. Got in after dark. Was greeted by Chris. Very friendly. Collected our $30 for the night for electric & water. Directed us to our site. Had 2 fire pits lit. Temp went down to 40° over night, so slept with the window open. Fresh country air! Fog on the lake in the morning. Picture perfect! Beautiful!!! Easy access to dump station. Would definitely stay here again.

Sweetwater lake campground is a small quiet place. After a day of driving on the crazy interstate it is great to relax. We do not need or want all the things that the bigger places do. We don't care about that you can entertain yourself. Cost was 30.00 a day great.price has what we need.

This was a beautiful place to overnight. The hosts were so kind, the sites were huge, and the view was perfect. I would definitely have stayed longer if we had the time. A few people have said that the bathrooms needed updating and they are correct however, they are clean and sufficient. The host even cared enough to provide a few toiletries in the bathroom. I highly recommend this place!!

Beautiful Lake view RV spots Very quiet With lots of beautiful singing birds. Just drive-in and claim your spot as easy as that. Still just $30

If you like a nice and quiet grassy level spot overlooking a beautiful Lake this is for you. If you're one of those condo campers don't come. I've seen complaints about the bathrooms but we never use their bathrooms anyway more intrested in peace and Quiet views. Wi-Fi mobile hotspot coverage was excellent. Nice beautiful starry nights . Campground not lit up like a Christmas tree. Thank God for that.

Perfect stopping point from Florida to North Carolina. No frills, quiet, clean and owners were nice and accommodating.
