Paved sites, full hookup, good WiFi. I did have to use some blocks under the tires to get level, but did I say the price was $20 a night! The park is well kept. I have paid alot more for much less.

Nothing fancy. Clean and centrally located. Great price.

Ok
By user-5365795... on 2017-10-23.
The reason we stayed here was for the quick walk to the US Space and Rocket Center. It had been raining the week before, so our site was covered with mud, so we couldn't get anything out. Sites are not level at all, but the price is cheap.

Not so good
By user-5426264... on 2017-10-23.
Stayed for a week due to Military campground being full. Roads have potholes, sites are rutted and unleval, sewer hookups are well above the ground and they donot have laundry! Priced too high!

Great price and location
By user-5316071... on 2017-10-23.
I grew up here and even worked at the space and rocket center when I was a teenager, but never knew this campground existed. It's a great price for the location, within walking distance to the museum. Full hookups, although the sites are a bit uneven. I will definitely be back, now that I know it's here.

Never stay in Pull-thru #8
By user-5673876... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2018-08-27 to 2018-08-29
It is apparently haunted.... It is very unlevel and makes campers slide off their leveling blocks. The price is great (now $20 /night for a pull thru) and there s ok space, but 3 inches side to side and 4 inches from to back is pretty extreme. Bring extra blocks, there were a stack when we arrived... we could have used more. Nice folks, no more WiFi, tight turns and laundry only open during office hours.

Make sure you call and make reservation, we got lucky and got in. Staff very nice.
Showers good but could use a caddy in shower area to put your shower stuff in.
Very quiet and really clean. Will stay again. Great price on sites

Easy to get to right off 565. Try arriving between 10 AM and 2 PM to beat rush hour traffic. Roads in camp ground are good.
Plumbing easy to get to. Electrical hookup was 15 amp. There may be 30 amp. Quiet area and close to most everything.

Can t beat it for the price!

Back in sites are $18 per night.
Pull through sites are $20 per night.
All sites have FULL hookups. (Water, 30amp electric, and sewer). It s clean, they keep it mowed, the sites could use some leveling and the asphalt is bad in many places but again, you can t beat it for the price. They have clean showers and bathrooms, both that are locked with a key code- which is nice.

Staff nice, but site was dirty and neglected
By user-4955840... on 2019-08-09.
The good: The price was $20.00 per night and the location was very convenient.
The bad: The water pressure was very low. The sewer hookup was broken. There were nests of fire ants just off the pavement. The pavement on my site #8 was also badly damaged, broken up and un-level. Those were understandable problems, but the fact that there were wads of used toilet paper in the BBQ and in the driveway, loads of cigarette butts in a large pile and trash littered around the site was disgusting, and unacceptable. The staff should have really cleaned up the site after the previous campers left.

Sites are a bit small, but level. Good water pressure, bath house is clean and secure with a touch pad code. $18/night. Close to everything and lots to do.

Good stop along route
By user-5850854... on 2019-08-09.
We stopped on the way back from TX to NC. We called ahead of time because we were arriving after hours. They held a space for us and we paid the next morning. Great price for full hook-up. One negative-they discontinued wifi but still, not bad for the price. Pull through was $20, back in was $18. Since it was quiet and peaceful, we decided to stay a 2nd night and visit the space center. NOTE, when you turn off of the hwy, take the first left in front of the motel. The campground will be just to the left of the motel. If you are arriving after hours, ask for the code for the bathrooms. There are 2 shower stalls and 3 toilet stalls.

Out of this world!
By user-5889603... on 2019-08-09.
Small park with some pull through and some back in sites. Back ins are well angled for easy access. Full hookups (but only 30A). Clean bath house. Easy access to the interstate.
Our site backed up to the model rocket launch range so we got to watch group after group of students cheering for each other as their creations zoomed into the sky and parachuted back to earth.
Would definitely come here again if in the area. Reservations are a must. Campground was full.

A good park but needs a little TLC.

This is a good park for the area. It is fairly small and only has 28 or so sites. It is a quite park with little to no traffic. I had no problem maneuvering my 44' fifth wheel and backing into my spot (24). The water is from the city and there is good pressure. The 30a hookup worked well. The grass is well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The roads and sites could use a little work which is why I took one star away. Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay and would stay here again when in the area.
