A little uneven
By user-3063048 on 2017-10-23.
The sites are gravel and not really level, a bit slopey took several blocks to come close to level. They want you to use pads under levelers and stabalizers. I really did like the place and look forward to going back

Avoid

Save yourself a headache and just avoid this place!!!
By user-5315093... on 2017-10-23.
Far from wonderful...it is a parking lot that cost money to park in. There is no room between RV, best of luck parking your RV you better be good. Nice friendly people who run the place and close to shopping. Good neighborhood. No bathroom toilet doors get some updating going.

My first RV park
By user-5888257... on 2017-10-23.
The good: I was able to get a pull through, 50 amp site, with full hook ups, a few days before I needed it. They allow dogs, they had an area at the end of the park for our dogs to do their thing. There is a small store with some necessities. There's free coffee in the morning, and they had free candy bars at the front desk.
The bad: Yes, the spot was pull though. But I had to pull so far forward for my slide to clear the power hookup that I could barely unhook my truck. Once I was far enough forward my fresh water and sewer hoses wouldn't reach. I was able to buy extra lengths of hose in the office so I could reach. There are no stall doors in the bathrooms, very reminiscent of Iraq. Also, the pull through spots are so close that I was afraid my neighbors slides would hit me.

A bunch of sardines stuffed into a rock parking lot. Man, that's ugly.

Close to family we were visiting
By user-6025179... on 2017-10-23.
We had a large back in site behind the office with absolutely no shade. After purchasing a pop up and arranging things we made out site more comfortable. The staff was very hospitable and helpful. The best part is that we were just minutes away from Prairie Village for a family reunion. Bathrooms and showers were clean and nearby. This is an old tired park but near the areas were we there to visit.

One mile to IKEA!!!!!!!!

Okay, yes, this place is old, small, and an eyesore. Yes, the accommodations are in need of updating...badly. Yes, the ground is more dust than gravel and the sites need to be graded and leveled.
But...this place is close to Overland Park, the city's most upscale area. The owner and her staff are very hospitable and are happy to receive your forwarded packages. They let you check in early (if a spot is available) and help you navigate the small space to park.
In addition, all of the utilities work well and there is a beautiful small wooded dog area in the back of the park. The guests here seem to be respectful of picking up (a nice change) as the owner supplies several dog stations throughout the facility.
And best of all...IKEA is only one mile away!!! There is a paved sidewalk that will lead you through the established neighborhood right to Ikea's entrance. Downhill there means uphill back...bring a wagon or cart.

Walnut Grove RV Park
By user-5789032... on 2017-10-23.
Full hook ups, Pet friendly, Dog park, tornado shelter, friendly staff, quiet when park was full, we had a good wifi signal, pull through and non-pull through sites, showers and toilets have curtains (no doors), convenience store, and gravel lot spaces. Most of the spaces are too small for awnings but there are some we saw that accomodate the awnings. We had a 40ft 5th wheel and we were comfortable for a transfer stay. There are monthly rates, the spaces are different for those staying longer, very close together and not pull through.

“deluxe” pull thru joke

$58 + $10 late checkout (at noon) charged to my credit card for an non-level site on rocks adjacent to lots of road noise. They can charges these fees because they are close to the airport and city, but this junky place just isn’t right. Avoid if possible.

Tennessee Buckeye

Nice park we found it quiet and the staff very helpful and friendly. We were in town for a wedding and we're never more than 15 min from any place we needed to be. Not sure what some people expected, but this park sure doesn't deserve some of the negative comments.
