Just alright

My site was relatively level. Only needed to raise back left 1/2 inch. Dumpsters everywhere which is nice but smelly if you're close to one. The RV next to me must be long term - wood panels propped around the outside - some falling down - trash underneath - grill parts around the grill and propane tanks by the front. I only detail this one but it is similar to the rest of the long term-ers. Just generally dusty and messy.
Office workers friendly. Did not use any facilities. Price $22 w/discount. It's 1843L and it's nicely quiet. A serenade by frogs, crickets and birds.
For one night it's alright.

Ok option

We stayed here one night and it worked well for us. Did not utilize the shuttle to town or casino but could have. There were a lot of long term campers here which didn't matter to us. It's a rustic campground but it's Kansas. We would stay there again because it's very convenient.

This is our second year staying here and it works out fine for us to attend the car races. With lots of rain this year, the place is much greener. They've expanded and it would be great if more trees were added to the grounds. The only draw back their amenities are very limited . . . it would be great to expand which would draw more customers. Staff is very nice and friendly. Enjoyed our stay even though a couple of rain storms came thru. (nd)

Very nice stay

The young woman on the phone and front desk was wonderful. Very gracious and helpful. As promised, we got a level pull-through with shade. Full hooks were easy to access.
The park is older, but an excellent value and convenient to downtown.
We would definitely stay here again.

Not pretty, barely adequate

The section assigned to transients has gravel roads, tightly spaced sites. Pull-troughs are short and you have to disconnect to get in and fit. Cars are parked in the road, and in our case two people had to move their vehicles in order for us to make the turn into the site. The 50A plug at our site was upside down - crazy. Visually the place looked ratty, with long-term 5th wheels sprinkled among transient sites. On the positive side, the place is close to town and Dodge City attractions with strong mobile telephone signal.

Looks can be deceiving

We were ready to turn around... called another RV park. They we not interested in someone staying only one night. So we decided to take a chance. The young lady in the office was very courteous. Our site was so level, that all we had to do was park and plug in. We filled our water tank.. the water is excellent. Used the restrooms. They were great. Very clean, tile floors and walls. A great place for one night. If we were in this area again, we would stay here

The manager was very nice and extremely helpful. Had full hookups; ample space between sites; facilities were clean; each site had a picnic table which was nice. Grandkids had fun making friends with a young cat and seeing lots of frogs every where. :-) (nd)

Good for a short stay.

Arrived after Dark after calling the phone number provided I was given instructions to take any site I wanted. I had full hookups with 50 amp service no problem. They also have good internet. For less than $30 this was a good deal. the only thing that I thought was a bit strange is that there are absolutely no water sports available even though that's what they call the park. There used to be a lake here but it has completely dried up and I was told it would never refill thus it should be called no water sports. Still make great spot for a short stay. Friendly staff. I would definitely stop by there again on my way through Kansas.

Nice no frills park

Friendly owners and a nice place to stay with level sites and full hookups. Clean restrooms and a laundry on-site too. We'd stay here again.

Spent 2 days at the end of July at $21.60 per night for FHU after discount. This is an older CG with recent grassy field added on. Older section has some trees, newer section does not. Mostly all sites pull-through. All sites gravel and level with grassy patio. Sites normal length (approx. 50 wide X 75 long) Easy location for tourist stuff. Aging bathrooms but clean enough. WiFi was pitiful slow. Used Verizon hot spot instead. Several OTA TV stations. Cable had been removed years ago. Would stay here again.
